Violence against women and domestic violence remain serious problems in Switzerland. On average, one woman dies every two weeks because of such violence. Since the beginning of 2025, the number of femicides has already been very high in Switzerland. In 2024, the police recorded 21,127 offences related to domestic violence, 6% more than in the previous year. Women account for nearly 70% of victims. Children are also particularly vulnerable to violence within their families.

Domestic violence affects many families – especially people with a migration background are at risk: language barriers, stress, trauma, insecure employment situations, and cultural differences increase the risk. Our goal is to facilitate access to information, rights, protection, and support – through TV, social media, and direct distribution to counseling centers.
9 short films of 5–8 minutes each on: physical/sexual violence, psychological/financial violence, and violence against children & its effects.
Each story is based on real situations, complemented by interviews: victims/relatives (anonymized), counseling centers, police, judiciary, psychologists, child protection authorities, children’s rights experts, and more.
All videos will be dubbed in 18 languages and distributed throughout Switzerland.
